Suggestions for Formatting References

  • for an uncluttered appearance on a page, either give page url in small text or provide a link below the image to another page.
  • use the alternative text (ALT TAG) option for images to include the url; the information will be displayed when you mouse over the image. [1]
  • at an early age, students can refer to a source by writing "thank you to Dr. Seuss" and as they get older they can learn proper citation method [2]
  • create a separate page of the wiki for end-note style presentation of the source citations. If desired, in-text citations within the wiki itself could even be linked to that end-note page. You can see an example of this end-note style of citations in this wiki. The bibliography link is at the bottom of the Contents sidebar.[3]
