Screen Capture Programs

Page history last edited by Mrs. Train 14 years, 5 months ago

These are programs that allow you to capture what is on the screen, either as an image or as a video.

The most simple method on a PC is to press the PrtScn button on the top right of the keyboard. This copies an image of the screen to the clipboard, a temporary storage area. You can then paste it into a variety of programs, such as Word, MS Paint or Photoshop, etc. From there, you can use the editing program's tools to crop and resize the image as desired.

More sophisticated programs allow you to annotate the image, which can be very helpful in a classroom environment when you want to show students one particular aspect of the screen image.
